Switching to a Lumia 730

Hello there! I have purchased a Lumia 730 as a secondary to my beloved Lumia 1520. Can somebody tell me as to how can I have all the apps of my 1520 on the 730 as well.

it's quite simple u know. first of all, backup ur phone settings of ur 1520 from settings menu.
then setup ur new phone i.e. 730 with same ms account. it will automatically start restoring the apps along with data and settings.

Did you use the same Microsoft account on your 730 as you have on the 1520?
When you did the set up did you "Restore"?

Yes. I used the same. And I got no option to restore. In fact, I backed up my 1520 before I signed in to 730. Yet, I got no option to restore.

Are both phones on CYAN or one on CYAN and the other on DENIM. Because I think in that case the restore may not work.

Well, maybe that is the case. Cause, the 1520 is on cyan and 730 is on denim.

it doesnot make difference. i did that with Lumia 800 and lumia 720 in past. then lumia 720 to lumia 730.

I just restored a Blu Win HD backup onto a Lumia 635 so it even crosses OEM's. I got Apps auto-downloaded, email accounts and emails, SMS messages...

OP - examine the backup on your 1520. Settings > backup > apps + settings > is there a backup showing? > try manage backups > delete

Then run a fresh backup.

Reset your 730 and try restore again during the setup.

If nothing else you still own the Apps and any you pay for will download free after a check in the store.
