Sync with new phone

Is there a way to sync the Band w/ a new phone WITHOUT having to do a factory reset? I did the factory reset the other day and it overwrote the existing step/calorie data I had up to that point.

Your band may be out of sync for the day, but I'd think the app would still have the data. Does the app in the new phone show the data from the old phone?
