Synching my calendar?

Do I need a Live account to sync my WP calendar with my Outlook calendar? I use hotmail as my Live ID and it only syncs emails.

If you get the Hotmail Connector, you can put your calendar from Outlook in the Connector folder in Outlook and it will automatically sync to Hotmail.

Thanks, but I want to sync my work outlook events with my WP. My work laptop will not let me install Hotmail Connector so I'm left with inviting my Gmail address to these work events to make it appear in my phone.

I was hoping that I could invite my Hotmail address instead to migrate out of google. When I do invite my Hotmail address, I gotta accept the invite first from my Hotmail email. Google automatically syncs it to calendar and just sends me an email after.

I think your answer is yes you do need a Windows live account. It sounds like you have your Outlook email account synced to your phone. I do and anything that i put on my Outlook Calender also gets put on my Windows Live calendar.
