Is there a difference between buying the International unlocked Nokia 1520 and the Nokia 1520 from Microsoft regarding which will give me LTE? A seller on eBay says I will just get 2G with her Lumia 1520 from Rogers Canada. I don't want to spend BIG money for BIG screen and have an Edge connection. No ATT for me. I have TMobile.

If you buy it from the Microsoft store you will get the AT&T one. Which won't give you LTE on T-Mobile.

i should rephrase my question. would buying an AT&T unlocked 1520 give me LTE and/or 4G. i know i was getting LTE with my unlocked Lumia 1020. I got LTE with the Pentaband Lumia 920 which came from Canada. i don't know how to tell what Bands i need to get LTE ... I think i want to buy the 1520 but don't know which one I need to purchase that will give me LTE or at least 4G...

I just bit a HUGE bullet and bought an ATT 1520 that is already unlocked. The one thing I learned from sending my last phone, unlocked 1020, to Nokia for repair is -- DO NOT DO IT EVER AGAIN. In the future I will forget the warranty. Find a local repair shop. Nokia will possibly reinstall software which will lock the phone again, which won't be a problem if it was locked and unlocked by ATT the first time but if they have to replace your phone, you will get one locked to AT&T and it could prove to be impossible to get unlocked .. I am thinking that everyone but me knows how to sweet talk those people and get what they want ..

Does anyone have an educated guess as to when T-Mobile will be able to offer its customers a 6" phablet!! I'm tired of AT&T always receiving exclusive rights to all the nice devices!!

I have always paid the big money to buy an unlocked phone, beginning with the iPhone. I should add up the money I have spent - Tmobile is cheaper than AT&T but their phones are awful. I am thinking if I paid the additional money monthly I wouldn't have to pay the large money a few times a year to buy a great phone that is unlocked to work on their stupid network. I pay $65 a month to Tmobile for unlimited everything. How much is AT&T unlimited everything? I paid almost $700 for my unlocked AT&T L1020 from Amazon. and just paid $700 again for an unlocked L1520. Neither one were factory unlocked. The factory unlocked phones from Canada, unless they are Pentaband, will not give me LTE. What's the answer because Tmobile will never have good phones. I remember a rep from Tmobile saying to me a long time ago, "Tmobile is not in the phone business, we are in the carrier or service business."

I think you are wrong. My unlocked phone was unlocked AT&T and I had LTE. A seller I know that sells Canadian phones says I will not get LTE with her phones..

Wind and T-Mo use the 1700 AWS band for 3G. The info you are looking for will follow UMTS or HSDPA. This is for 3G 3G plus or fake 4G. Wind does not have LTE. I don't know what the LTE band is for T-Mo.

Roger Telus and Bell use the AWS 1700 for LTE. Rogers and Bell also have the 2600 frequency for LTE but it is very limited if available at all. LTE AWS band 4 is not compatible with 3G AWS 1700 band 4.

The 3G band for Rogers Telus and Bell are 850 and 1900 under the UMTS or HSDPA.

You need to match the frequencies for both 3G and LTE to have full function.
