I've been waiting for few days. Sick of waiting so I tried the trick.
Had to wait for more than 3 seconds though maybe because the
connections here are slow. Got it on the 7th time!

Nope everything was ok.
I've already got the 8102 update sometime ago.
So this time I got the 8113 followed by 8773 updates.
But couldn't get any Nokia specific updates though.

Nothing here and it's been almost a week. Ok not almost but still, it's been a while.

Haven't received an update message on the phone or by checking through Zune.

I'm in Central Time.

As of yet? No. I am Central Time as well and I've updated to 8112, but I am unable to advance to 8773. I'm getting as antsy as the next fellow.

It took me a few tries but I was able to do the update trick and now my phone is upgraded. Thanks for the tip.

ha ok as per xda:


1. Start Zune
2. Turn off Data connection and Wifi on the Phone
3. Connect the Phone with the PC (USB)
4. Start the update search in Zune
5. About 3 seconds later, disconnect your PC from the internet (Turn WLAN off).
6. Zune finds NoDo-Update. Press OK.
7. Connect to the internet again and install the update.
retry til it works, and it seems u have to do this with each individual update available, with 4 total

Already have the process starting on the first try, yay me !

This trick worked great for me!! It's a shame that you have to do all this to get the update but happy I finally got the disappearing keyboard bug gone..

So update went okay (I forced it) but now Zune shows me as a black 710 instead of the white I have.
