Telemetry, will there be a problem if I delete temporary files?

Telemetry

Settings > storage> temporary files >(1)Temporary files (2)Downloads (3) telemetry

Telemetry was not there in Windows phone 8.1.Will there be any problem if I delete 'telemetry' when I go to delete temporary files ? BTW, what is telemetry ? I am not a tech person and do not have knowledge about these things.

That's the core apps check and iussue auto report in Windows10 plus word flow, keyboard and Cortana predictive data collector, same as desktop.
You can delete all temp. files surely, there's temp installation files

Thanks for the quick reply.That means telemetry can be deleted safely without affecting the phone's performance.Though at present telemetry size on my phone is 0
