What is light bleeding?
Sent from my RM-821_apac_singapore_293 using Board Express
It's light that comes through from the screen or phone body edges. In other words, it's like sometimes the screen and body aren't perfectly "stiched" or tight so light from the screen is visible in an area that's not part of the screen itself. I hope that explains it.
Ultimately, you have to do what makes you happy. You are after all, paying the bill.
I am puzzled however, by why you're not considering other WP options like the Ativ S or a Lumia 720? It seems to me an easier option than jumping to an operating system which is inherently insecure and where you will have to transfer your personal data all over again, rather than have it sync to the new device automatically.
It seems to me that unless you have to have a premium device, there are options you haven't considered.
My only decent options was to get a Lumia 720 but after thinking it through, I went with a premium device like the One because of the design, audio features and a camera that it's only bested by the 920. I have yet to try iy to see if it lives up to the praise.
As I said before, returning to Windows Phone in the mid term (before year's end) is on my plans, unless the next wave of WP devices (with the Blue or GDR2 update) is uninteresting.
I've had Iphones.... Android (Xperia U, S, etc...) and now Windows Phone (Lumia 710 and now 720).... I NEVER GO BACK TO ANDROID OR IOS.
You must have whats makes you happy, if android make it, go for it....
if Android or ios doesn't... COME BACK TO WINDOWS PHONE!!!
I have to say that the HTC One is a beauty of a phone. Even Sense 5 is on par or better than stock Android with a superb flat white/grey/black UI and many subtle details that make it look and work as a well thought out interface. I'ts not perfect, but nothing is.
Windows Phone is and will be my personal favorite OS from a functionality and visual perspective. Right now, Android offers a more advanced OS with plenty of customization options.
You are right, nobody has to be "married" to a platform. I've been using WP from WP7 to WP8 and I hope to come back sooner than later but after hacing the One for a couple of days, it won't be an easy choice though. Nokia, HTC and Samsung need to step their game and launch great phones in their next wave.
