text message contacts not working from IOS nokia lumia 639

Hi all

I have bought a new Lumia 630 from an iPhone 5 and as a whole liking the phone to be honest. But having one problem and that is when i transferred all my contacts from my IOS device some of my contacts i am not able to text and i do not know why and is getting quite annoying as i cannot receive texts from those individuals

Did you turn off imessage on your iPhone 5? I'm betting the contacts you are having issues with are iPhones. Try turning off imessage on the iPhone. If that doesn't work you might have to make some changes to your Apple account. And if that doesn't work. Have your friends make sure they do not have your phone # setup as an iPhone. I know this because one of my friend has went thru this issue.. imessage is a pain in the **** when going to a different OS.
