Text Messaging after Windows 10 update

Is anyone else having an issue with text messaging being slow after the Windows 10 Mobile update? I have a L735 and after upgrading to W10 Mobile when I get a text message or if I want to text message someone it is very slow to operate and seems to lag. I tap on the messaging tile and tap on a message and it seems to take forever to bring it up.

The messaging app in WM10 has been integrated together with the built-in Skype app. Most of the performance issues with messaging have been reported to solved/fixed after logging out of the built-in skype video/messaging feature. Try it and see if it helps.

so I went into messaging, then click on Skype Setttings and hit logout but it still seems to be very very slow

Did you go into the skype video app and logout there? That seems to be the place that really logs you out, signing out in the messaging app seems to not actually do that. To check, go back into the messaging app and click skype setup again, if you're really logged out it will tell you otherwise it will just ask to complete setup.

I actually did a hard reset on my phone and it was much better but now my text messages aren't going through.

Just a thought. If the os requires frequent reset or need reset everyone it gets an update, this os is sick.

The hard reset doesn't fix the Skype integration. You can follow the instructions here to sign out completely.
