Text ringtone plays while talking

I just got a Lumia 830 and it's great. However I notice that when I get a text while I'm talking I can hear the ringtone for the text. Very annoying because I then can't hear the person in talking to. Is there a way to fix that so that text ringtones don't play while I'm talking?

Only if you make it so they don't ring ever...

It's not just text, but any kind of tonal notification.
