The mouse stopped working, why?

Today for some reason my Surface 3's mouse just stopped working. Or more precisely it works sporadically. Does anyone know why?

I've got Windows 10 on it.

Is it a Bluetooth mouse? That's kind of normal for a Bluetooth mouse.

If you can let me know what mouse you have. I'd like to get one for my S3 but Bluetooth mice have always been a frustration for me.

They work sporadically, sometimes drop and require 5-10 minutes trying to get them to pair again.

I may just go for a wireless dongle mouse.
