The problem with WP.

Shouldn't microsoft have some kind of tutorial app on the phone on display, that would make things much easier for the sales man since they aren't even bothered to do any research on it.

OMG I just realised, there's not really a tutorial system on WP! I know it's easy to use but it isn't exactly iPhone easy.

WP has Helps+Tips pinned in the app list when you buy a new handset.

Microsoft is spending mucho $ opening new MS stores or putting the carts in the malls.

I disagree. They need to more spend more money on MS stores, and put them on the same streets or neighborhoods that the Apple stores are in.

Why not look at putting small MS staffed show centers in BestBuy,

They already done something similar to this and it failed.

I purchased a L635 from my local ATT store last week. I knew what I wanted and the sales guy didn't try to steer me elsewhere. When he opened the box, set it up and started playing with it, I could tell he wasn't familiar with it but after a few minutes he said "holy cow, I didn't know .....". He then said "I gotta get me one of these". He also mentioned they did a comparison between Siri and Contana recently and Cortana was deemed "better" than Siri FWIW.

From my first hand experience I think folks at the stores are not aware of what WP is so they "push" what the masses are familiar with and perhaps (no way for me to verify) what they make the most commission on.

BTW, the rest of my family is iPhone and when I showed them the 635, they were all impressed and they would have said otherwise, especially my daughters. At work folks couldn't believe how much phone this was for <100 bucks. Most were iPhone with a few Android which is the norm these days, at least what I see.
