Just the Country/Region setting or Regional format and Browser and search language too? These 3 are in Region+language. Any other setting to meddle with?

FYI, there's updates for Here Maps, Drive+, Games, Video, Calendar, and maybe one other after you finish the process of updating to 8.1

Gears almost 50% completed for second updates..!!!!!!!

Both updates combined are about 390-400 mb says data sense.

data sense is wrong at times...my vodafone account shows 802 mb though i shud mention that my update download stopped once at 76 percent and gave an error message and started again

Anyone outside US using Cortana by changing region trick?

gonna try. i mean i m from India, and downloading the update while changed the region to US already.
it ate half of my battery, still at downloading 61% of the 2nd update.
