My 1020 has been at about 5% on the spinning gears installing the pre-update for 25 mins now :/

I'm thinking I should reboot it - has anyone done this during an update before, any chance of messing something up?

EDIT: Jeez, after 29 minutes it finally moved. Hang in there folks :)

should i restart my phone forcefully while the gears r spinning?
i think i got stuck.

NO!! For me it looked like it is stuck as well. Just wait. It took me about 5 Minutes. After the spinning wheels the phone rebooted and step "3 of 6" started directly.

I can't wait to finally get started making apps for 8.1.
Perfect timing since tomorrow is my last day of college.

Don't, same thing happened with my 1020, it will continue eventually. If you do reboot it runs a high risk of bricking it.

I suggest you leave it another 20mins at least before you think about rebooting,, never know what data loss you might have if you reboot now.

When i click "check for updates",it has error 80072ee7. help!what should i do,what seems to be the problem?im from Philippines.

Migrating data 57% on the first one, dying inside, knowing the server will be crashed by the time I get to the REAL update.

Okay sloowwwww internet speed here. So will probably have to wait for maybe 3 hours or more before I get to use it. Still worth it.
