So you had an email advise you about iPhone 7 launch... That would be user intent. I'm not clear on where the irony is then. Maybe the ironic bit is that the OS did what you asked it to, notify you of email received, and now you are trying to make that into a fail somehow???

Don't go that deep into this, it was posted as a joke. The phone displayed my latest email, I didn't forward the email, it was a news letter from apple.. but seeing such a thing is a big deal. Take it what ever way you want, I just wanted to share it.

But you phrased it in a way to make it appear that your Windows device notified you of the iPhone 7 launch all by itself. I suppose it is funny in some small way, but really doesn't do much for the community given the current state of affairs.

I've yet to receive any notification at any time regarding Apple's new hardware. For others reading the thread (especially those who wouldn't know how this happened and others who only want to bash the platform) I'm seeking to make it clear that this is something you consciously chose to arrange. Otherwise we'll have umpteen blogs picking up the story that "Windows urges users to switch to iPhone."
