It's a phenomenon called colour constancy.
So many people cant be lying...use some common sense. We really are seeing white and gold on it.

Its blue and black although the black is more like a brown

It's overexposed. That's why the black looks gold. Notice how this overexposed picture looks.

So when my friend showed me on her iPhone it was clearly white and gold. On Windows phone, it's clearly blue and brownish/black. Wtf? Another difference is I saw the iPhone picture early in the morning and pretty tired and today I the evening and I'm well rested. Who knows.

Update: So clicked on the OP link again and now I see white and gold. I tried closing my eyes for awhile and I saw a glimpse of black and blue then it turned white and gold right in front of me. Weird.
