AU, I assume you are on about version 1607 right? I thought Skype supported this version still?

Yep, AU. Windows Central has mentioned this recently, and there are some threads in that forum about this. I don't remember the exact number of the August update :/ I do know that it isn't alone in not being updated.

I wonder if this may be the reason it's going for ?199 in the UK now ie they may be looking to discontinue it as even for a promotion that's a steep drop.

Just noticed that Skype is back in the store for wp8. I did a search for it just to be sure it was gone on my Huawei w1. It is Version 2.27.0.20 updated 2016-10-19. A mistake maybe, or are they backtracking?
