Definitely a desktop at home
but a laptop when in the office/travelling... but I'm one of those that find it very difficult to work without a proper mouse and regular keyboard.

This for those who has used both: Camera - Digital or film (or slides...when Chrome wasn't nothing about browsers!!)

Film (but it requires a good camera and an experienced photographer)
Even if you can edit picures after you've taken it, I still prefer film over digital.
