Wow. Look at Windows Central showing monitors hooked up to Macs.

These look clumsy and just "too much" to be really portable. I have a single portable monitor hooked up this Mac laptop. It is 16", which matches the laptop screen. Around $85 on eBay. There are larger versions available - 17" and 19" - that I have seen.

Very nice and very portable. Uses a single USB-C cable for power and video. I typically have the Mac on one screen and Windows (in a VM) on the other screen.
