This seems the PERFECT laptop, except for one thing.

This is by far the best laptop I've ever witnessed. I have waited and researched many laptops and now I finally got it.

It has a vivd bright high quality display, touch, light, thin, a dedicated graphic card, long lasting battery, stylus, what more to ask?
The only thing to ask is.. why did not they attach a USB type c there?
Still, this would not stop me from buying this, but does anyone have any idea why did they make that decision? It would have been great to have a future proof device.

Cheers to this device and Microsoft!

I think USB-Type C would sometimes interfere with the most reasonable price tag they could come up with. At least, this is what should be holding back the widespread adoption of Type C in phones... I dunno if there was a dip in costs...

Also, it would probably add thickness to it.

I think adding ports to the screen of the Surface Book would defeat the purpose of having a Surface Pro. To me, the Surface Pro is a tablet first with laptop functionality while the Surface Book is a laptop first with tablet functionality.

Ideally, I would love for them to make the Surface Pro be able to attach to the keyboard base and utilize the dGPU, extra battery, and stiffer keyboard. Maybe the 6th or 7th generation will do that.
