Hi all,

I've bought a new Surface RT 1 32GB for $300 in US. It will arrive to me (Europe) on the next week.
As an addition, I'm also considering to buy a touch cover - to simplify typing and to have a screen protection.
At the moment, I can buy (in Europe) touch cover 1 for 80 euro ($104) or touch cover 2 for 119 euro ($155).
The difference is not really big (just $50) but on the other side - the keyboard (what a touch cover actually is) costs as a half of the Surface :(

So, my questions are:
1. Is touch cover 2 much better in typing that the first one? (4 sensors for one key instead of one sensor)
2. Is indication of the functional keys (F1, F2, F3 ...) really needed for the Surface RT? How often do you use these keys and in which applications?
3. So, what do you think - should I buy a touch cover 1 and save around $50 or should I buy the second generation of the touch cover and have additional functionality (backlight, more sensors, thinner, lighter)?

Pay the extra and get Type cover 2. Its fabulous. It adds hardly any

extra width but is like night n day between that and a touch cover 1.

Thank you for your suggestion. But I think touch cover is enough for me. I will not use the Surface to type a lot, just for small typing in Skype, typing the URLs, etc. not writing a Word documents.
My question is still open - For anyone who tried the first version and the second one - do you feel really improvements when you type on a Touch Cover 2?

I have both and can't tell much difference. I guess 2 has more sensors, but my hands still slide around because I can't feel where I am.

Thank you. Do you feel (see) any difference between 1st and 2nd - thinner, lighter? And what is your overall feelings?
If you would buy it again - would you buy it?

I have used both - I preferred the feel of the original, but love the back lighting of the 2nd. These are Type covers, by the way.

Also, didn't I read somewhere that the Touch Cover 2 can be used to do gestures as well...?

Touch cover 2 supports gestures yes, its thinner and lighter than the original, and the exterior picks up less dirt. Ive seen a review on the tube which did an online typing error test which didnt actually show any accuracy improvement at all, but a slight decrease in accuracy =S but the guy did just one test on each cover so not really comprehensive..
