Transferring photos from android tablet to windows10

Trying to move photos from my Nexus 7 Tablet to my Windows 10 laptop

Do you mean via USB? There shouldn't be any issues that way, it acts like a USB drive. Make sure your Nexus is unlocked to access it.

If you mean by Bluetooth it could be several things, like not having the latest drivers.

If you're really stuck, use Photos and allow it to backup your photos via WiFi and use Chrome. The Photos app is integrated into Chrome and you can just browse and download your photos from there.
