Two new back battery covers - no more creaking

I bought a new black and white back battery cover and neither one creaks. I wonder if the first run of covers was 'defective'.

Looks identical to me. Maybe I just wore out my first one? I'm glad I got new ones though. Will toss my original (black) one out and buy one more backup to keep as a 'mint' backup for the inevitable destruction of my everyday back cover.

I'm waiting for that to happen... I'll give it a week and see how it does then. I am curious to see how much 'wear and tear' increases the creak, as well as removals.

Just found some ebay Genuine Microsoft Lumia 950 XL 950 XL Dual Sim White Battery Cover 00813x4 | eBay. Not sure if that's where he found them though.

That's exactly where I bought it. You can also buy direct from them as well. I've bought several items from them over the years.

Yeah, I wasn't thrilled about the price, but remember it has a wireless charger built in. That's probably what drove it up so high. But it's nice to know you can replace a large piece of your phone's exterior for just $37 to make it 'like new again' after spilling eggnog all over it.

I think spilling eggnog all over your phone might do more damage than just muddy up the exterior shell. That is, if you're not immediately shot for wasting eggnog.
