Type cover with och without fingerprint

Hi all
I will buy a Surface pro 4 but my question is about the Type cover.
I have read that Hello drains battery when not used.
Is that the same with the fingerprint option on Type cover?
I really like the idea that i dont have to insert a code everytime i start the Surface.
But i would like to have my battery work as long as possible.
On the other hand i want a Type cover that has a nice colour, and i can only find the fingerprint option on black Typecovers.

The new November update fixed the Windows Hello drain issue.
