Uber was one of the biggest tech buzz words of 2014, and the popular ad-hoc taxi service is growing exponentially in 2015. The Windows Phone app has not seen too much in the way of updates, although the core functionality is there for those who need to request a ride.
Today, version 3.1.7.3 is live in the Store, and it is aimed at the Indian market. Unlike in the US, having a credit card in India is not an ordinary thing, making Uber a difficult choice for consumers who would prefer it to traditional taxis. The new update to the Windows Phone app adds Paytm Wallet, which should give a big boost to the Valley startup.
