Unable to link my Microsoft Account to my HTC 8X

I attempted to link my Microsoft Account to my new HTC 8X. I entered in the wrong email. Now I am unable to change the email that is logged into the phone. This email isn't even a valid email. I am unable to edit the email space, only the password space. Obviously, any password I enter will be wrong because the email is wrong. How do I change the email? I simply want to just type in another email address, but the bar is blacked out and cannot be interacted with.

I must be making some kind of mistake, right? Some option overlooked? There is no way that I can't change the microsoft account email address when I have never even logged into one on this phone.

Also, if I choose the option to add another account, the option for adding a microsoft account doesn't even appear on the list.
