Unable to play any music after 8.1 update

So we have a 920 that will not play any music since it was updated. It will not stream Through Pandora or play any stored music through Xbox music. End up getting an error message in Xbox music after it tries to open a song for a bit. This has all just been since applying 8.1. I have tried a soft reset but that hasn't helped. It's also occasionally freezing up now as well. Any ideas what's going on here and what I can do?

I am facing the same issue. Volume bar does not come down. Issue not rectified after Hard reset.

Perhaps downgrading the phone back to 8.0 and then going through the update process again might help, but it's a long wait...

That's a heck of an issue--and keep in mind, the only way to downgrade, as far as I know, is the Nokia Recovery Tool--which doesn't work for any updates after 8.1 (so, while you can roll back the initial 8.1 update, nothing after that can be done). I'm stuck in that case myself.
