Unable to post on older content

I have been trying to post on one of Dan's articles and it keeps saying I don't have enough reputation to post on older content. How can I post on this article? I just read another thread that mentioned something about needing to have 10 posts first. Should I just post some more times to get up to 10?

I do think this is quite odd. You can try posting in two more threads to get 10 but in my opinion, that shouldn't make a difference.

Do posts to the forum and posts under articles count toward the same reputation? I don't see my posts under articles adding to my forum post count.

Following up, I've now got 10 comments under articles, and it's still telling me, "You don't have enough reputation to post comments on older content". So, what's the actual requirement?

i would like to know this too. seems a bit silly. can they not just ban people if they get out of control?

also, where is "Reputation" listed in your account details? i've looked through every section of my profile and don't see any indication of it...

Did you ever get an answer to this? I also am looking to find out how I can post on an article that interested me.
