Unable to Upload to Website from SkyDrive Folder

Since my phone automatically uploads to SkyDrive, I often upload to websites directly from the SkyDrive Camera Roll folder. I have one computer that is a laptop, but it's pretty much permanently on my desktop, with a terrabyte hard drive, and it has all SkyDrive folders syncing. With that computer, I have no problems.

I have another computer, a Lenovo Yoga 11S, and since it only has a 128 GB hard drive, I only have a couple folders synced to it, and Camera Roll is not one of them. When uploading to a website from that PC, when I select the image, first I get a popup that says something like administrative permission is required. I click to grant the needed permission, and then it tells me that the file name is not valid, and I'm not able to upload the file. In order to get it to work, I have to download the image and upload from that local image.

Does anyone know a way around this? It sure would be nice if Microsoft's browser would work and play nicely with Microsoft's file system manager and Microsoft's cloud service.......

That said, have you tried it with a different browser?

I had the same issue and I couldn't figure out a fix so I made my camera roll folder sync to the PC. Not an ideal situation.

Yeah, I don't want to do that due to limited size of my SSD. I've been copying individual files to my desktop, and uploading from there. Not a great solution.

Did anyone ever get an answer to this?? I have a very similar problem, but mine is that I can't attach photos from SkyDrive to emails I'm writing in Outlook.com! WTF? I get the same message about needing administrator permission, then I get error messages saying that "File name (insert Windows Phone photo file name here) is not valid". So right now, the only way I can send photos from SkyDrive is to send a link for download. Pretty ridiculous. Anyone have ideas on settings or anything else that might fix this? Thanks for any suggestions.

Update to my post from yesterday -- this problem only occurs for me while using Internet Explorer (Vsn 11 is what I'm on). The attachment functions work fine when using Firefox. I'm glad to be able to use the attachment function correctly but have to say it's totally irritating that it doesn't work in IE. Seems like the essence of the kinds of problems and stupid stuff that MS does, similar to the way the Skype mobile experience is weakest/worst on Windows Phone rather than taking advantage of the should-be obvious advantages and making it better than on any other platform. Maybe Satya will fix all that kind of crap.

Wow - I didn't even think to try Firefox. How ridiculous is it that it works there but not in IE???

I'm still looking for an answer to this if anyone has any suggestions. I hate having to open Firefox in order to upload a picture to facebook (or other website - like this one).
