Sadly, it looks as if the highly anticipated Surface Book won't be available in Europe -- at least not for the time being.

European retailers as well as at least the Swedish Microsoft Twitter account have confirmed this when people have been asking.

What a stupid decision, it should have had a global release. By the time they eventually release it in Europe it will no longer have the buzz around it and the next great device from a competitor will be the all the talk. MS really do suck at marketing!

I guess, with such good comments, Microsoft will release it in other regions by the end of this year.

I don't think Surface Book will be kind of "testing device" like Band 1st gen which were only available in US.

Europeans tend to prefer spending big cash on Apple devices only, so MS is very reticent to even try it.

I've heard rumors say it will arrive in Q1 2016 in Germany. I don't know if it will arrive in other European countries aswell.

It's sad, however, that Microsoft ignores pretty much all of Europe, except maybe 2-3 countries. I recently bought a Microsoft Band from US through a friend in US. They do great products but if they don't address all the world they'll miss out on sales big time.

I think also Europeans tend to have longer memories and are not forgiving of Microsoft past practices.
