Unlock 920

Searched but surprisingly couldn't find any relevant posts.

I'm away on the weekend so want to take my old 920 as a backup for when my 930 battery dies and my EE power bar runs out. But they're both locked to different networks (both UK).

Any way to unlock the 920 for free? It's on W10 fast ring if that helps? I can't even remember who I was with when I used it, possibly Orange. My 930 is on EE.

Isn't Orange now part of EE?
Your EE sim should work in it (assuming it's the same size).
Have you tried it?

Also if it is out of contract, shouldn't Orange/EE unlock it for free?

I think I tried it some time ago and was blocked, although might not have been an EE sim I tried, may have been o2, I can't really remember.

I'll give Orange a call and see if they'll do it for free, I thought they'd want to charge but maybe not as it's about 3 years old now.
