Unlocked 920 still shows as Rogers Communications... No Black yet either

I got my unlock code from Rogers a while back and it does work I am now on Telus with it however I want to know if it is normal that in the About section in Settings, my carrier is still listed as Rogers Communications. Is that correct? What does it say there for factory unlocked 902's?

Also since my 920 is unlocked how is it I have not received Black/GDR3 yet?

Ok so I'm going to answer my own thread by asking this. If I don't "debrand" my phone am I stuck waiting for Rogers to release the update even if my phone is unlocked?

How the hell do you debrand a phone I thought I did that with the unlocking. (Feeling pretty stupid today)

Yea no matter what you do, your phone will depend on Rogers for updates. That's because they use product codes to roll out updates and there is no way the change the product code
