Hello there. I was wondering if Nokia Lumia icon working outside US?

I'm planning to purchase via amazon and get shipped later. After checking the price it were cheaper than 930.

My carrier using 900 MHz as LTE band and 1800 2100 as HSDPA band. It's a GSM carrier

Thanks in advance

The ICON does not have any of those bands.

If you search the forums, I know there are people who have had it work in Mexico and Canada for both GSM and LTE.

Is there any noticeable difference with my phone ?

How about the update? Did it waiting for Verizon too?

It's a Verizon exclusive so you'll be stuck with their highly unreliable and often disappointing update system.
When they release an update that's when you'll get it.
Some 930 users have been flashing different countries roms to their devices to get updates sooner, fairly sure if you've got an Icon that this is a no go.

So judging from price difference between 930 vs icon is about 100$ or so compared to my local store price is icon still gave me a good price?

Hang about. This says you are posting using a 930. So why would you want an Icon?
Same device but doesn't cover as many bands and aren't as likely to get any future updates.

My GF want same devices as me but she doesn't have much money as I did.

Actually I can cover for the rest but if I can get cheaper one why not

Ok, makes sense.
But just to clarify again, if you get an Icon it's not guaranteed to work properly on your network due to differences in bands. The Icon has firmware optimised to work on Verizon specifically.
You'll be at the mercy of Verizon for any future updates.

Personally I'd go with a 930 which is the global variant of the Icon and is designed to work on the majority of networks.

What country are you in? I know it works fully with Rogers in Canada. BTW - it does not have to be "unlocked". Any Icon is capable of GSM - unlocked or not.

The prices difference should be more than $100.

That's Indonesia price. You can get it around that price

Not included taxes though
