Hello:

I'm planning on buying an unlocked WP7 phone from Singapore (since all phones are required to be unlocked by law) and using it in my home country which is currently an unsupported WP7 country, using a local telecom company.

Will I be able to use all the features, especially the Windows Phone Marketplace and download apps (or is the WP MP carrier-locked/controlled)?

Thanks in advance!

well 2 things to consider:

First make sure your Country support the same type of Network as the wp7 phone your gona buy ( it has to be ether GSM or HSPA or any Network with a SIM just not CDMA )
maybe some one will correct me on the exact networks. dunno if ti changes from phone to phone.

second: for the marketplace , i remember reading some where that people where having problems getting the marketplace in some countries but i thnik the eralease a app that allows you to use it or something.
