Had the same problem after updating mine, not sure if this was a coincidence or not, but fixed mine by plugging it in for a sec. But for me there are some very nasty bugs not mentioned.

Same thing. Updated this morning. Reboots, pull battery no improvement. First comes up with not for resale, then get a normal password page with everything it normally has, current temperature, notifications. After putting in passcode, it shows a black screen with wifi and cellular signal strength and everything else in the notification bar. Bottom bar also slows with search, back and windows but nothing between. Pressing any button results in a vibration feedback but nothing else on screen. I am bricked.
SOLVED! I used software recovery tool. After that everything worked normally, like before. I installed now wp10. It is reeeallly buggy. I cant use passcode-I wasnt able to acces my phone beacuse I had pin code (I passed by this by disabling my pin code with another phone)- but not for resale wont disappear :/

Only twice? You were lucky, I had to hard reset mine 6 times before it came up. I was getting worried, but I read a post where someone said it took him 10 times.
