Update to wp 8.1 gdr 2

Hi. M still using windows 8.1 cyan. Can i directly update to denim gdr 2? If yes...then how?

You can only get it right now if you register in the Insider program and if (some have reported) you are running the latest version of preview for developers. What's your device? It might be possible you directly get W10 Preview and skip the GDR2 completely. There is no surefire way of getting it right now.

And i was involved in pfd. I opted out of it yesterday. My mobile is showing update is ready. But it might be gdr1.

From WP8.1 Cyan you will first receive Denim Update and then GDR2.

Attention: Unselect Download updates automatically AND uninstall Windows Insider instantly after the GDR2 update notification, otherwise you will also receive W10 TP.

What should I do in windows insider to get gdr2? Clicking on get preview builds will take me to windows 10..

My 1320 got GDR 2 update after signing into the insider program...and after that uninstall the windows insider...or else hard reset(recommended)...

But when i checked for the update, it showed an update is available...i clicked show more and it showed that it's a windows 10 technical preview. So i didn't download it.

First downgrade to WP8.1.1 using Recovery Tool and then update again without installing Developer preview.

Once the WP10 update is shown it isn't possible to ignore it and still update to GDR2. So you have to downgrade to a prior version.
