Updating from Windows 7 to 10

Simple questions from an old guy who knows very little about computers: If I upgrade from Windows 7 to 10, what happens to my windows live mail, favorites, address book, etc.? If I have to do any programming, I would be lost.

Nothing happens to installed programs like Windows live mail . And if you upgrade your favorites won't be deleted either
