Upgrade from HTC 8x

My wife and I have 8x's on Verizon. We are looking for new phones. We would like wireless charging, and something about the same size of the 8x.

I've looked into the 735 and it seems reasonable except Paul Thurriot at WinSuperSite says it is kinda on the slow side. Any suggestions and recommendations?

The articles I've read have said that the 735 is very fast and responsive.

Probably the best way to "test" it right now? Go to an AT&T store and see how responsive the 830 is. It has the exact same chip and RAM, so it should be about the same performance.

The 928 or Icon could also be a reasonable upgrade, though you'd still be waiting on Windows Phone 8.1.
