Upgraded to free Windows 10 and now get an error "JVM could not be started" solutions?

What is the solution? Has not been constant but very annoying

I had a friend who experienced similar - an uninstall of Java Virtual Machine, a restart and then a new download of the latest version seemed to do the trick.
