Upgrading to Lumia Cyan from WP8.1 DevPre on Lumia Black

So the blurb in the Preview for Developers app is not true?

"Once you've taken an early update, you cannot revert to a prior state."

I'm concerned about apps that will be broken because they're already optimized for 8.1...

And open a vein... I've got 3 920s to take through this process.

Well, you cannot revert "over-the-air". But once you tether the phone to your desktop with USB, you can revert back! But that will get rid of all appdata/settings!

The way I see it, there's no rush. We already have 8.1, cyan doesn't add any major game changers, I'm just going to wait and see if any fixes develop or anyone comes up with any tricks to get through this in tact.

See the nokia recovery tool screen shot. It is downloading the same version that the mobile already has!!!!!!!!

I was/am of the same opinion, but it's three weeks since your post now and no sign of a fix. Anyone heard anything postive regarding DP black to cyan roll out?

Yeah now that it's out for the 1020 I'm tempted to do it, but I'm debating on what I really gain. The only thing I can think of is being able to sync my fitbit with BT LE. But I sync all day anyway with a computer so I really don't get anything awesome. However having to restore backups means having to redownload my music, losing app configurations, etc. That's a hassle. So again, I'm not sure if it's worth it at this point unless I've missed a cyan feature that really makes a big difference.
