USB charging speed app

The good ol Lumia 900 had a diagnostic app that told you the amount of amps it was receiving. Of course that app didn't carry over to new devices so I was hoping if anyone has run into one since?

I don't think a normal smartphone would have the ability to measure the amps going in. I think it's more complicated than just an "app" to implement that. I might be wrong though, but I think an app like that would have been already set on different values for different chargers. How the phone detects a specific charger, I guess through the pins? Excuse me if I'm ignorant, I didn't get any sleep yesterday... :3
