USB Type C and HDMI output

I?m wondering if I could use simple converter like this



to copy screen of Lumia 950 to HDMI compatible device without using Display dock from MS?

Probably will work...I'd imagine this is exactly how the dock works under the hood for the display-out portion.

It's not exactly "simple", it's an active DisplayPort to HDMI converter with a USB Type C connector. There's little reason for it not to work, though.
