Use camera windshield mount to mount Lumia 1020 in car

I have being trying to find a good car mount for lumia 1020.
Then I find this car mount for camera Amazon.com: RAM Mounting Systems RAM-B-166-202AU Ram Mount Twist Lock Universal Suction Cup Mount with 1/4-Inch-20 Stud For Camera: Electronics
This got me thinking. I can put on the camera grip then mount it on the windshield.
Is this a good idea?

Keep in mind some states have laws against attaching anything to your windshield. Your local police could probably give you that information.
