Usefulness $999 laptop without usb-C?

Portability, slim, light, but without usb-C, like an old laptop. But I don't care because I not use usb-C.

My new phone has Type-C. It may not be needed but it is a new standard that should not be ignored.

no one is ignoring it. it's just that no one has anything that can plug into it. right now, the only reason to have USB-C is to plug in a battery to charge the device...

I wouldn't say useless, it may miss out in new capabilities but Its got everything most people like me need.
