I was wondering if the Surface 2 will register the Surface Pro pen as a finger if I was to use one. I realize it wont be pressure sensitive like it is on the Surface Pro, but would it at least register it as a touch or as a gesture if I drag it along the screen?

It will not work because SP's pen is a wacom digitizer kinda thing while Surface 2's screen only supports capacitive stylus

Ah ok. I thought it was only functionality such as how hard you press down that wouldn't work. I already have a pen that works, but it is so thick that the accuracy would be no greater than using a finger. I guess I'll see if I can find something else.

Have you looked into the Jot Pro? It's one of the best capacitive styluses I've used.
