hello, everyone. I bought an 925 from ebay but i wanna use it on europe is that possible?

thanks a lot

Technically, yes.

However it comes down to one crucial detail. Is it unlocked?
Yes? You're good to go!
No? Results may vary from you're 100%-out-of-luck to you-have-some-hoops-to-jump-through

my concern is because the frequency of us is different form europe like 800Mhz-1700Mhz to 900Mhz-1800Mhz. the device was from t-mobile but i can unlock it, i have some tools.

It should work, you might got get the highest data speeds but if it is unlocked it will work for sure. Also you might have some issues with MMS but otherwise you should be okay. It will probably work great in Latin America since the LATAM RM versions of WP from Nokia seem to have the same bands as the TMO version devices.

ok, that comforts me. about the mms going to the local carrier they can provide me all the configurations for it, that should be ok.
thanks for all of your answers, i can't wait to get my new lumia.

MMS is very operator dependent, some people are lucky some are not. Just be prepared that there is a chance it may not work seamlessly but you can always use WhatsApp:-)

hello again, the phone just arrive but i had some trouble, my tools only provide european unlocks. And changing the product code delivers a message that the ID from the phone is not compatible with the product code that i trying to take. any advice????

first, oh well, try a service or something i guess.

second, are you talking about reflashing the phone?

yes, the nokia card to unlock devices doesn't need any codes just flashing with the free network rom and you good to go. but for something i can't understand the phone only accept his factory rom if i try just change the color like t-mobile black version to t-mobile white version that error message came in.

Restore phone to TMO stock ROM.
Order an unlock code from unlockcode247.com and then put in your SIM card and enter the unlock code.
You should now be able to use the phone in Europe without any issues.

what if the phone is blocked on TMO network? can this still be done/unlocked to use in another country ?

If it's blocked on t-mobile (really only happens if it's been flagged as lost/stolen), you're not likely to be able to get an unlock code. You can still try one of those unlocking services as mentioned above.

It's four band, so for voice communications, you can use any carrier IF IT IS UNLOCKED.

But way more than cool is that with Wifi Calling, the USA TMO system thinks you are in Lower Buttville, AK. Your calls to your USA contacts are treated just like any other TMO call as if you were here. Just make sure you have selected "wifi only" in settings. If you don't you could find yourself with a huge international roaming bill.
