Viber problem..

I've just come back to WP from using a Nexus 5 and the Viber app on WP is awful in comparison. I was getting timely notifications for a few days (even though the conversation view took ages to open) but now I get the notifications in batches every few hours but when I open the app the conversation doesn't update - so I know I've got a new message but it won't show me it. Annoying to say the least. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that hasn't work.

Maybe it's something to do with 8.1?

I have had the same problem with Viber on all the Lumia devices i have owned (920, 925, 521, & 1520). This is probably an issue with Microsoft and WP.

Hope its resolved soon as it always puts me in a tough spot with my girlfriend trying to explain why I didn't pick up lol.

I had the same problem about missed notifications or not getting calls when Viber is closed or suspended. I'm using a Lumia 920 with 8.1 Dev preview.

You may try this, it worked for me:
1. Uninstall Viber.
2. Restart phone (normal restart, no soft reset needed).
3. Reinstall Viber and let it sync your contacts.
4. Go to Viber settings. Turn off "Use push notifications".
5. Restart phone and enable "Use push notifications".
6. Do a test call or send a test message. Viber should work properly now and will appear under the apps integrated with Action Center.

Now I think it is fixed by itself. Probably some Microsoft problems did that. Thank you to all users that responded and tried to help me/us.

Hi Guys

I decided to continue this thread than to start a new one my viber works only on wifi I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. The viber support team said that my mobile operator is blocking the service but I have friends who are also on the same network whose viber works. Has anyone else experience this issue?

Users, this is not a problem with device, it is a viber itself, cannot even access on android now. always show disconnected and messages failed on my Galaxy S and Note 2.

Hello! My viber doesn't work. When I want send stickers I must wait 1-2 min until my message will be sent. Viber works very slow and I can't send text messages and photos.

Hi all! I have a lumia 620 for now ??????. But I have a small problem with viber. I downloaded from the store, but it doesn't show on my app list. On the store is shows me that I have installed but it doesn't show me on my phone. Any help is welcome.
