Video playback in WP 8.1 is pathetic.

1080p HD videos fail to play on my Lumia 720 since I updated my phone to 8.1. Sometimes videos lag too. Even moliplayer lags when playing videos using S/W decoding. Anybody else facing this issue?

Screen size doesn't matter. 1080p videos used to play on WP8.0. Now on cyan too, it plays but sometimes it shows an error.

Both my 920 and 520 doesn't have any problem playing 1080p movies/videos in XBox Video, both on 8.1 Update w/o Cyan. Try soft/hard reseting your phone.

Did hard reset many times. I thought it might get solved by cyan firmware update but it didn't. And now IE is crashing too.

Its actually happening with 720 users only.

It shpuldn't matter anyway, you can't even see the extra detail on a 480p screen. It's better if you just watch 720p videos.

No problems here.....wait, let me correct that, If I am on strong Wi-Fi or LTE coverage, 1080p videos are flawless....If I fall down to 3G for some reason, I wont even watch because it's always buffering...

Yep. Cracking sound. Before cyan on dp as well as on cyan. Moliplayer too lags and crashes when I fast forward.

How is that so? You don't see more than 480p on a 480p screen.
