Hello all,
Only Yxplayer is able to read .mkv?
Cause I wanted to try some free but I can't find free ones...

Personally, I would recommend converting your MKV files to MP4/M4V. Most MKV files are x.264 video with either AAC or AC3 audio, which is the standard for MP4/M4V containers. And MP4/M4V files are more supported across more devices (phones, TV's, computers, etc.)

press play video and movies player, both free. now if only there was a way to set a metro app as default for mkv; the file type doesn't seem to be listed in settings

I have installed mobile.HD and it works very well. It's not free though (but has free trial, so you can check if it works for you then decide)

Press Play Video don't play very well 720p movies.
And movies player don't play 720p at all

Ouch man! Now we talking! Just bought it. It can even load subtitles properly.
