Hi all. First time Windows Phone owner and enjoying it so far. Picked up the Lumia 930 on launch day in the UK. Anyway, picture quality on Netflix, BBC iPlayer, youtube etc. all looks just plain awful to my eyes. Picture isn't sharp and contrast is really dark (I've had a play around with the display settings and no improvement to be seen). Is it just me or is this the norm? I've tried streaming over WiFi and 4G... Both no different to each other. Any thoughts? Cheers guys.

I don't have a 930 firsthand, so I don't know how it would handle, sorry.

Hopefully someone will chime in, but I doubt its the norm if it has your questioning it.
The display contrast will be very high, in that blacks are not lit, but still. Perhaps it is just the quality of the video instead of the phone itself?

Picture isn't sharp because none of the apps stream in 1080p, they are all streaming at 720p. So basically you are doing up scaled video.

Thanks for clarifying this for me. Makes total sense. BTW am absolutely loving the phone and Windows os. Lovely stuff.
